The UTA College of Engineering (COE) and College of Science (COS) Welcome You!
Greetings from the College of Engineering and the College of Science at UTA! We are excited that you and your students are participating in the Fort Worth Regional Science Fair on our campus in February and hope that you will take advantage of some of the UTA programming available to you and your students in the afternoon.
This year the FWRSEF will provide lunch vouchers for all student participants to dine in our on campus all-you-can eat dining hall, Connection Café. Lunch vouchers will be distributed in the student's registration packets at check-in and may be redeemed in the Connection Café located in the Hereford University Center.
The College of Engineering and the College of Science will host hands-on and informational activities for a group of 30 middle school students and 30 high school students who register to participate by February 8, 2016. The sessions will take place from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016. Students must register at https://www.uta.edu/php-lib/machform/view.php?id=2190
Selected registrants for the College of Engineering and College of Science activities will be notified via email on February 12, 2016 with further details.
In addition to the COE and COS sessions, UTA Admissions will host university tours and the College of Science Planetarium will host planetarium viewings for all FWRSEF participants.
Tours will depart on the hour at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m. from the Dan Dipert Welcome Center located at 580 Center Street. Tours are free, but registration is REQUIRED. For tour registration, please visit https://www.uta.edu/admissions/events/ftw-science/register.php
The Planetarium will feature their newest movie "Dark" at 12:00 and again at 3:00 p.m. Due to limited seating, each show time will be available to the first 140 guests. Please present your movie voucher at the box office window. Vouchers will be provided in the FWRSEF registration packet.
